Summer in San Diego is ideal for spending the day in the sun and enjoying the coastal weather and ocean views. So whether you’re making plans for Labor Day or a weekend getaway, Belmont Park is the perfect beachfront experience, from thrilling rides to memorable meals.

Fun For All
Belmont Park is known for its thrill-seeking rides. You’re able to plan an adventurous afternoon with the family or for date night- with plenty of rides that are fun for all ages.
Giant Dipper
Belmont’s Giant Dipper is the iconic beachfront roller coaster. It was initially built in 1925, and in 1990 it was designated a National Historic Landmark! Now, this vintage coaster has more than 2,600 feet of train tracks and 13 hills- with unexpected twists, turns, and ocean views that will keep you on your toes the whole time. Don’t forget to snap a photo with this National Landmark!

Liberty Carousel
This carousel transports the rider to a golden time in historic San Diego. With exceptional detail, hand-painted scenes are found on the carousel: Father Junipero Serra discovering the Mission San Diego, the Spirit of St. Louis flying over the Giant Dipper, the Hotel del Coronado, and girls on horseback in a 20’s beach scene.

The Carousel itself fits many riders- 30 feet in diameter, with 800 lights and spins to nostalgic carousel tunes. All ages are welcome aboard!
