Mission Beach offers a unique Southern California that you just can’t find anywhere else. With a lively variety of activities in the surf and sand paired with a strong sense of community, this beach town may be small in size but it’s large in spirit. So what better way to commemorate its 100th birthday than with a yearlong celebration? The Mission Beach Centennial Celebration features ten dynamic events, including surf contests, restaurant tours and outdoor movies in the sand, that showcase the best aspects of its vibrant neighborhood.
The Centennial Festival on Saturday September 27th will be the last and largest event of the yearlong celebration. Hosted at Belmont Park, the festival be held from 11am-7pm and incorporate a live music stage, various local vendors, a fashion show and Draft’s Untapped beer garden that highlights San Diego’s burgeoning beer culture.
